The last post "America the Corporation" introduced the short presentation from Mary Meeker about America financial statements and highlighted the level of entitlements that the US have engaged especially with Medicare and Medicaid. Mary proposed in her presentation (pg 275-328) a combination of policy actions to tackle the problem. The question, is how practical could it be to implement these actions with a centralized system? Is it possible that the government is doing more of the same thing and getting the situation from bad to worse ? Could it be possible to restructure the Health Care system from a Centralized system to a State managed system, closer to people needs and community problems. How? HCCA might be an answer. How does it work? For that I will refer to an interview with the Tribune of Leo Linbeck III vice chaiman of the Health Care Compact Alliance. Leo explains how an interstate compact is one way to help to fix the Health Care system.
